Overview
Precious Brady-Davis was appointed to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) board in 2023 and elected in 2024.1 She previously was an associate regional communications director at the Sierra Club and worked in diversity recruitment at Columbia College Chicago.1
Her campaign says she wants to stop leasing MWRD land to polluters and direct more flood-prevention resources to the South and West sides.2 She also proposes cutting the agency's greenhouse gas emissions by 50% and completing the McCook Reservoir by 2029.2 Additionally, she wants to build green infrastructure like permeable playgrounds and research using wind energy to power MWRD plants.2
