Overview
Maggie Bove-LaMonica is an attorney and a member of the Hermosa Beach City School District board, where she has served 13 years.1 She says she helped turn a deficit into financial stability while managing budgets of more than $100 million and delivering $87 million in voter-approved school bonds.2
She supports the half-cent sales tax on the November ballot.3 She proposes an outside audit of city staffing and a strategic plan, and she would pursue grants and federal infrastructure money.1 She also wants a public governance calendar and earlier community input on housing mandates.1 On business, she wants to monitor downtown vacancies and reduce permit delays.2
