Brian Burley

Brian Burley is a trustee on the Huntington Beach City School District Board.¹ He works as a system administrator at USC.² He is also running for an at-large seat on the Huntington Beach City Council.³ A constitutional law expert told the Orange County Register that he likely could not serve in both offices if elected.³

Burley said he would support responsible federal spending, tax relief for families and small businesses, expanded domestic energy production, and fewer costly federal regulations.⁴ To address housing affordability, he proposes expanding federal mortgage credit certificate programs for first-time homebuyers, with updated eligibility limits for high-cost areas.⁴ He says surveillance tools like license plate readers should be limited to targeted public-safety investigations, with warrants generally required and strict data retention limits.⁴ On immigration, he calls for permanently secured borders, completion of the border wall, nationwide employment verification, and stronger action against sanctuary jurisdictions.⁴

His campaign says he has stood for parental rights and fiscal responsibility on the school board.¹
