Overview
Meshal “Kash” Kashifalghita is the District 3 representative on the La Verne City Council, first elected in 2022.1 The council selected him as Mayor Pro Tem in 2025.2 He says he has worked in law enforcement and Los Angeles County government, and is an Army Reserve lieutenant colonel.3
At a chamber of commerce forum, he said he supports conservative revenue projections, maintaining reserves, and evaluating ongoing expenses before creating new programs.4 He also believes residents deserve meaningful opportunities to understand proposed development and provide input.4 His campaign says the council adopted a new General Plan, repaired streets and sidewalks, upgraded Las Flores Park, and expanded programs sending specialized responders to mental health and homelessness calls.3
