Maggie Trevor

Maggie Trevor was elected Cook County Commissioner for the 9th District in 2022. Her campaign says she holds a PhD in political science, taught at the University of Iowa and worked in health care market research. In 2022, she supported banning military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines, and enforcing laws to disarm people with revoked FOID cards. She also advocated in 2022 for expanded health care access, including reproductive and mental health services, and better suburb-to-suburb public transit. She backed River Forest's call to halt the O'Hare Flyer transit project as first proposed.
