Jason Gibbs

Jason Gibbs is a member of the Santa Clarita City Council.¹ He has been a member of the council since 2020 and served as mayor in 2023.¹ According to his campaign, he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering at Cal Poly and works in the aerospace industry.¹ His bio states he has served on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club, the Valley Industry Assn. and the Salvation Army.¹ He says he balanced budgets and supported small businesses on the council.² He also says he backed policies to protect the area’s quality of life.²

Gibbs’s campaign platform emphasizes support for law enforcement, border security, education and local control.³ He also opposes raising taxes.³ He has said he would seek federal investments to improve the Interstate 5 and Highway 14 corridors and support policies that draw businesses to the district.¹ He calls the U.S. immigration system broken.¹ He says the government should focus on securing the border and removing dangerous criminals.¹ He also supports reducing visa backlogs.¹ He says he supports President Trump’s efforts to strengthen the economy and reduce taxes for working families.¹ He also backs efforts to secure the border and take action against Iran’s funding of terrorist groups and efforts to pursue nuclear weapons.¹
