Dan Jeffries

Dan Jeffries has served on the La Cañada Unified School District Governing Board since 2013, including two terms as board president.¹ He works as an assistant city attorney in Los Angeles, where he has been a prosecutor for nearly four decades.¹ He says the district's top goals are keeping teachers and maintaining academic success while supporting students.² He supports high academic standards and says students need more than strong test scores.²

On the board, he has helped navigate teacher contract negotiations and the rollout of Common Core standards.¹ He has also advocated regarding a state funding formula the district says underfunds it.¹ He backed the June 2026 bond measure Measure LCF, writing that it was put on the ballot to bring schools to current health and educational standards.³
