Curtis J. Tarver II

Curtis J. Tarver II has represented the 25th District since 2019 as a Democratic state representative. He is a trial attorney and previously served as an assistant to Mayor Richard M. Daley and as an administrative law judge for the city. He chairs the House Revenue and Finance Committee. He is the assistant majority leader. His campaign says he led the remapping of Illinois Supreme Court districts. He sponsored laws to update real estate seller disclosure forms and prioritize returning students for the Invest in Kids scholarship. In 2022, he voted against a retail theft bill that increased penalties for ringleaders.^{1, 2, 3, 4}
