Overview
Brian Guerrero is the vice president of the Culver City Unified School District Board of Education.1 His term began in 2022.1 A former teacher of 27 years, he works as a union organizer, trainer, and policy analyst for the California Teachers Association.1 In September 2026, Guerrero urged the board to use restricted dollars first to protect unrestricted reserves.2 During the district’s layoff approvals in spring 2026, he argued to preserve the district arts coordinator role and pushed to limit cuts to mental health counselors.3 His board biography states goals of providing rigorous academics and promoting access, inclusion, and diverse voices in schools.1
